Quick Weigh-In

I'm a little strapped for time tonight seeing as I want to get to bed in short order.  My card reader is otherwise occupied with my sister-in-law's senior pictures so I can't bring you photographic evidence tonight.

I'll put the picture up later, but for now, you'll have to believe me that I weighed 242.6 when I weighed myself today.  I'm actually a little irked at the scale.  I weighed 242.2 when I got home from work but didn't want to take a picture until after I got back from my bike ride.  When I got back from biking 11 miles, I had somehow gained .4 pounds.  I don't get it.  The first reading must have been inaccurate.

That's all from me tonight.  I'll bring you a picture and get more in-depth tomorrow.

  1. Now, I don't know if it's true or not, but they always have us weigh in before we work out at the gym because they say you weigh more after. I'm not sure how it's possible, but there you go.

  2. You should try and weigh yourself in the mornings when you first wake up instead of in the mornings. Better results and more accurate, from what I've read.

  4. Just think of that extra 0.4 pounds as in the bank for next week...I'm sure you'll rock it again. Nice work, Andrew!

  5. Just found your blog and it's completely possible to weigh more after a workout because you're building muscle and it weighs more than fat. But it could also be that you drank lots of water and that changes the scale as well. During the course of a day, water intake can add a whole pound. That's why as Esther suggests, weighing yourself in the morning is most accurate. With that said, if you're weighing yourself at the same time everyday it will always accurately show how much weight you've lost, even if it's not the most accurate in terms of your actual weight.

I've also given myself a year. I have about six more months.

Like your blog. Glad I found it.
